Chapter Twelve

Missy - Oliviér

I feel a firm hand grab my arm and lead me towards the exit.

“Oliviér, you do not know what kind of trouble you have caused here tonight.”

“Me? I was not the one who was cheating on my spouse in another country. And I certainly was not abusing my spouse either.”

We walk to our buggy, and Tanner places the key in the ignition and turns on our headlights, before hitting the button for reverse.

Before I can click my seatbelt into place, we have taken off towards the apartment.

As soon as we pull up, Tanner is plugging the charging cable into the bugging before making his way up the stairs to unlock our apartment door.

Once we are inside, Tanner locks the door behind us. Tanner strips out of his tuxedo jacket and tie, places it over one of the chairs, and begins to undo his cufflinks and rolls up his shirtsleeves.

I slip off my high heels and begin to unzip my dress. I continue to walk down the stairs to our bedroom, removing my dress and underwear. I slide my silky short chemise over my body as I turn around to find Tanner is behind me.

I take a step back, and I lift my eyebrow waiting for him to start speaking. “Oliviér, there is a part of my life you know nothing about. A part of my life, I am starting to realize you do not know or would ever enjoy.”

What in the world is Tanner saying?

“Oliviér, I am a Dom. Do you know what that means?” I shake my head, not understanding. What’s a Dom? With a sigh, he says, “I am into BDSM. I am a Dom, and I control and look after a person or woman known as a Sub.”

“A Sub. What does a Sub do?”

“A Sub is a sexual participant who willingly gives up some or all control to a dominant partner. They allow their Dom to make all their decisions, choose what kind of sex they will, or will not be having. The Sub does not speak unless they are permitted to speak. If they break the rules, they will be punished. Look, there is a lot more to it, but I am not about to get into details right this minute.”

“What the hell?” I turn my back to him, not sure what to think. “I hope you have worked out I am no one’s Sub. I do not take orders, and I do not submit to no one.”

“Yes, I know that, Oliviér. You are something different for me.”

I stiffen when I feel his hands on my shoulders and step away from his touch. “If I am something different, …what happens when you feel the need to control me because I do not submit?” How can he control someone? Why would he need to? What is wrong with him? Feeling my anger build within me, I want to cry. I thought Tanner was different. My eyes begin to mist as I slowly turn to face him.
